Dr. Bridgette L. Dilworth

My Story

I am a 2023 graduate of Houston Graduate School of Theology located in Houston, TX where I received a Doctorate of Professional Counseling degree. More specifically, I specialized in Family Dynamics. The exclusive Doctoral Program afforded me the opportunity to research and examine the unique family and relationship structures of both Christian and secular families. Before I became a therapist, I spent 15 years in the classroom, so I have a special heart for children.

My heart for children and their families prompted me to come out of the classroom and uncover the driving force of student academic success, resiliency, self esteem, drive, and motivation. I found children who parents were happily married, successfully coparenting, or had an overall appreciation and love for life were leaps and bounds ahead of the curve.

Most recently, I experienced a spiritual encounter and received revelation concerning the men and women of God's Kingdom. Like an old-school, picture slideshow casted on a wall, visions, experiences, sermons, and encounters began to rise to the surface of my consciousness. Thoughts that once lay inactive in my subconscious, rose to the top and the pieces began to come together, and the mission became  apparent. Ministry leaders and their families suffer in silence and peace evades like a chased shadow.

Though fairly new to the field, my passion and love for ministry, family, alongside of experiences as a mother of 8, and a 20 year marriage sets me apart from any other therapist you will meet.

I am not a Christian therapist; I am a therapist who happens to be a Christian. I approach therapy clinically and objectively, and my end goal is for you and your family to heal, grow, and remain resilient. My approach is clinical, yet my trump card lies in my God given spiritual gift of discernment and prophecy. Therapy for me is not a career; it is a calling.
